A worker has recently been killed in New York after he was working in a construction supply store.  According to reports,  the man was working in the store when a large and heavy piece of granite slab fell onto the man's head.

The worker was killed almost instantly and pronounced dead at the scene by emergency officials.  The worker was 47 years-old at the time of his death.

The accident is currently under investigation and information about the man is being withheld pending notification of the family.
