A man has recently been charged following an accident in which the man struck a fire fighter. The fire fighter was responding to an accident in which he was helping to put out a small fire on the side of a road. The fire fighter was then struck from the side by a car that was speeding through the road block that was setup. The fire fighter was launched on top of the hood and then landed hard on the ground. The man attempted to flee the scene, but authorities apprehended him shortly.
This example shows the dangers that many workers put themselves in each day. In this case, the danger was being on the side of the road as other individuals drove near the emergency personnel.
