Road Side Workers at Risk from Distracted Drivers

Posted on August 14th, 2009 1 Comment

Distracted drivers are one of the main causes of serious injuries for roadside workers.  Distracted drivers put roadside workers at risk for a variety of accidents when they are not paying attention to the road.

Many accidents are caused each year by drivers that do not notice the warning signs that indicate workers are present.  These drivers normally are driving at a high rate of speed through the area with workers present.  This prevents them from being able to properly react to other drivers and possible workers near the road,  which leads to many of the accidents occurring.  It is important when driving,  to pay attention to the road and do not let distractions hamper your driving.

Construction Vehicles Cause Many Worker Injuries

Posted on August 12th, 2009 No Comments

A variety of risks pose hazards to construction workers while on the job.  These workers face many different hazards throughout the course of a normal work day.  One of the most common types of accidents that occur with construction workers involve construction vehicles and large machinery.

Many injuries are caused whenever an individual is operating one of these large vehicles,  and does not see another worker near and strikes them.  The large vehicles can cause serious injuries if they strike a worker, so it is extremely important to take as many precautions as possible when operating vehicles in a work-zone.
