Four people, three of which are workers' compensation insurance agents from the American International Group, have been charged with their involvement with a $1.5 million dollar scheme.
According to reports, from August of 2003 to January of 2006 the members solicited funds from others when it should not have. The members pretended that they had the authority to negotiate settlements regarding unpaid liens, but they did not have the authority to do so. It was also found that the individuals defrauded another company out of almost $310,000 dollars.
Individuals like this give workers' compensation a bad name. If you or
someone you know has been injured in a work related accident, contact
the Philadelphia workers' compensation lawyers of Lowenthal & Abrams, P.C. at 610-667-7511 for more information on your legal right to compensation.
