A refuse worker in New York was seriously injured in an accident that occurred earlier in the week. 

Early in the morning around 5:40 a.m.,  a worker for D&L Disposal was helping to pick up refuse.   Around this time,  a 70 year-old driver was approaching the vehicle and failed to see it.  The driver in the car slammed into the dump truck.  Upon hitting the dump truck, one of the workers was pinned between the truck and the car.  

The worker had to be rushed to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition.  Since the accident,  the mans status is now listed as serious.
